Early Career Working Group

Since March 2021, I am officially the head of the Early Career Working Group (“AG Nachwuchs”) of the German Region of the International Biometric Society (IBS-DR).

Our goal is to support and network young statisticians all over Germany. Each year at the Biometric Colloquium, we organize the Young Statisticians Session (YSS), a panel discussion on topics that may be of interest to young statisticians, and a get-together. In addition, we have a network of liaison professors who serve as contacts and mentors for young statisticians. Since June 2021, we also organize the Young Statisticians Lecture Series, an online lecture series where young statisticians can present their current research projects, bachelor or master theses.
